Message from the Alumni Association Board President

Greetings my Fellow Falcon Alums:

From the first day we arrived on the Pfeiffer campus we were Falcons. We made lifelong friends, lifelong memories, lifelong experiences, many found lifelong mates and many of us probably lifelong things we might like to change or forget. Whatever your experience at Pfeiffer, we all have one thing in common, a great education, a great group of friends, and a great group of nurturing faculty and staff that has allowed us to really venture and become that “Beyond Boundaries” person that we are today.

Always cherish this place for the “gem” that it is and cherish the faculty and staff that helped mold us into the women and men we have become. Speak of Pfeiffer at any and every opportunity, support current students by participating in events and volunteering on and off campus. Maybe you or your company can offer an internship or mentor a student. There are many opportunities available to “give back” to your alma mater. Never forget your annual gift to support ongoing efforts to educate a new generation of Falcons. This gift can be small, medium or large, every amount helps. When was the last time you spoke with a high school student in your church, in your neighborhood, or in school with your own children about Pfeiffer? Recruiting can be a missed opportunity for each of us in telling the Pfeiffer story and what this great place allowed all of us to become.

Get involved with your Alumni Association for service opportunities on and off campus, host a gathering of alums in your area, speak to local civic groups and tell of your experiences at Pfeiffer. Your Alumni Board is always working to serve our Alma Mater and our fellow alums in new and unique ways. If you have ideas let me know, please click here to email us.

2015 represented the 130th year of service to education by Pfeiffer since Emily Prudden began that small home school in Lenoir, North Carolina that grew into the University that we have today. Let us continue in the tradition that Miss Prudden began and truly help Pfeiffer, its students, faculty and staff, reach “Beyond Boundaries” as we look to the future.

My Falcons Best to each of you,

Thomas A. Aldridge, Jr. '75
