Message from the Alumni Association Board President

Della Raines Hello Fellow Falcons!

I am both humbled and honored to serve as your Alumni Association Board President and to represent nearly eighteen thousand Pfeiffer Alumni. Although we span several decades, we share a common bond.

During my time in service on the Alumni Association’s Board of Directors, I’ve been privileged to attend Pfeiffer alumni events where I’ve met many Pfeiffer alumni. I’ve often been asked for guidance on how best to support Pfeiffer. Even those of us who don’t live close to campus can make a difference!

First, we should share our Pfeiffer stories. All of us have those stories of our time at Pfeiffer that we share with our fellow alumni, but we should also share the story of Pfeiffer in our communities. Undergraduate enrollment is currently at an all-time high because our recruiters are out spreading the good news of Pfeiffer. As alumni, we can help recruit students by sharing the experience of Pfeiffer and what Pfeiffer has meant to us all.

Secondly, we should give back. Most of us are unable to make large donations, but there is power in numbers. Like many of you, I was able to attend Pfeiffer on scholarship because people I never met gave back. As alumni, we should help support those who come behind us by ensuring, with our gifts, that Pfeiffer remains the vibrant, educationally-vital campus that it is today.

Finally, we should come home! Many of us attend Homecoming regularly and have the opportunity to reconnect with friends, participate in fun events like the Black & Gold Gala, and watch our competitive sports teams in action. I encourage you to take the opportunity to see for yourself why Pfeiffer is now ranked among the best universities in the South. It’s an exciting time to be a Pfeiffer Falcon!

Again, it is an honor to serve as your President. You are always welcome to contact me to share your Pfeiffer story, ask questions, or make suggestions. We share a proud heritage, and I look forward to working with you in support of our beloved Alma Mater.

Go Falcons!
