For their first date,  Dr. Larry Crumbley ’63 and his future wife, Donna Loflin Crumbley ’63, took in the Fourth of July fireworks in Faith, N.C.  This important event was the summer of 1962, before their senior year at Pfeiffer College, and they went out just once more before returning to the Misenheimer campus for the start of the fall semester. On that occasion, they dined at a Chinese restaurant in Charlotte.



First Impressions Lead to Lasting Commitment

A Little Snow and A Love Poem

In January 1982, Mike Harris ’85 and his future wife, Betsy Turnmire Harris ’85, were beginning their first spring semester as freshmen at Pfeiffer College. A recent storm had dropped so much snow on the Misenheimer campus that the school cancelled classes for a time.



One Look Leads to a Lifetime

In 1959, Sandra Simpson Lisk ’63, then a freshman at Pfeiffer College, was singing in a school choir during a Wednesday morning service in Henry Pfeiffer Chapel. A student in the congregation – Bobby Lisk ’63, her future husband – was smitten.
