Members may have named Pfeiffer as a beneficiary in their will or utilized any number of other planned giving instruments to invest in the University's future.

The Uwharrie Society

Uwharrie-Society 1The Uwharrie Society was designed to give special acknowledgement to alumni, parents and friends of Pfeiffer who give $10,000 or more to support Pfeiffer University and its various academic and athletic programs. These programs provide critical scholarship and programmatic support to Pfeiffer’s students each year, and the Society provides alumni and friends the opportunity to fully express their commitment to the University’s mission of preparing servant leaders for lifelong learning.

The Founders Circle

Founders-Circle-Round 1The Founders Circle recognizes alumni, parents and friends of Pfeiffer who contribute between $5,000 and $9,999 annually to support Pfeiffer University and its various academic and athletic programs. When Miss Emily Prudden first opened the doors to her home school in 1885, she set the course for what would become Pfeiffer University. Over the next half-century, the families of Ebenezer Mitchell, Henry and Annie Merner Pfeiffer, and Gustavus and Louise Foote Pfeiffer, among so many other early supporters, would mold Miss Prudden’s humble beginnings into the comprehensive United Methodist-related institution that it is today.

The Trustees Council

The Pfeiffer University Board of Trustees is comprised of volunteer, unpaid representatives who play a key role in guiding the goals and objectives of the institution. Throughout its history, Pfeiffer has benefited from many dedicated and supportive trustees whose service to the university has been a model example of servant leadership.
