Basketball Win

Men's Basketball Wins Conference Championship

On March 7, the Pfeiffer University men’s basketball team capped off an 11-2 season in memorable fashion, defeating Averett University 72-70 to capture the USA South East Division Championship. The win, achieved despite Averett cutting into several Pfeiffer leads, came down to the Falcons’ Dorian Miles and Tyjarek Simmons hitting clutch free throws at the end of the game. Read More »

Research Pays Off for Honors Program Grads

Golf 2021

Tournament Registration Opens

Registration for the 2021 Keith Crisco Memorial Golf Tournament is now live. The tournament will be held on May 17th at Tillery Tradition Country Club in Mt. Gilead, NC. Named in honor of Pfeiffer alumnus J. Keith Crisco ’64, this annual event supports Pfeiffer’s effort to provide the best possible experience for the 360 student-athletes currently enrolled in the University’s athletic programs. Funds raised by the tournament each year provide for equipment, new uniforms, travel expenses, and other sports-specific needs. Please join us, as a sponsor or player, for this fun day at the course! You may enter the tournament as a single player or register a foursome, and a variety of sponsorship opportunities are available. Too Much Sylvia

Too MUCH SyLviA Returns for Local Performance

Carolina Beach Music Hall of Fame Artist, Too MUCH SyLviA performed their first concert at Pfeiffer College on April 6, 1991. The band, now well-known in the Carolina Beach music community, is returning to Stanly County in celebration of its 30th anniversary. Too MUCH SyLviA will be performing a free concert on April 9th, starting at 6 pm. The concert is a part of the Albemarle, NC Parks and Recreation Food Truck Friday events. The band will perform at the City Lake Park Amphitheater in Albemarle. Multiple food trucks will provide a variety of dining options, beginning at 5:30 pm.
